It’s officially the end of 2019 and what a year it has been! For many of us 2019 has been a year of growth, change and political confusion to say the least.

With Christmas only a few days away, many offices are now closed and the 2019 working year is over. With this in mind, it is fair to say that many companies will still be in the midst of planning their strategies and budgets for 2020 and to do so successfully, they will need to reflect on their 2019 and possibly on their 2018 performance.

For Akoni, 2019 has brought many changes in the form of improvement to the company and the services we provide. Our cash management platform now offers:

  • A new dashboard which provides clarity
  • Extra details on portfolio timelines, deposit lists, liquidity and governance tools
  •  A fully digital on-boarding process
  • An easier way of saving product searches

This means Akoni’s technology has become extremely robust and as a result we continue to win awards that reinforce such advancements. Most recently, we won the FDATA Open Banking Awards for the best new innovation in consumer savings or wealth journey using account aggregation. Gavin Littlejohn, FDATA’s global chairman, praised Akoni and all those who made the shortlist:

Throughout 2019, Akoni was busy constantly discovering new ways to develop and spread innovation which involved cementing ourselves within the wealth sector by attending events such as Platforum ID and Tisa, in addition to distributing our services on a white label basis. 

What does 2020 look like for Akoni?

Enhancing our services for our clients! We will continue to set clear milestones to distribute our product which means adding more panel banks and further developing our white label proposition. We have new developments in our pipeline for launch in the new year and will be announcing these on our blogs soon. 

Akoni has already acquired several high profile speaking opportunities which includes, presenting at Paris Fintech Forum and participating in a panel discussion with Harrington Starr. If you’re going to be at these events please look us up!
